The objectives of IISEIE include:
- Establishing common quality frameworks for software business skills learning and development for use by both the educational institutions and companies
- Promoting research and development that advances understanding of the business skills requirements of global software executives and professionals
- Promoting research and development that advances understanding of software economics, software innovation management and software entrepreneurship for the benefit of the global software community
- Facilitating communication between software business discipline professionals globally
- Supporting training, education and career-long professional development for professionals focused on the software business disciplines
- Recognising the achievements of professionals in developing the software business disciplines, its ethics and the Institute
- Promoting ethical practices in the software business disciplines
- Advising government or other appropriate organisations on matters relating to software economics, software innovation management and software entrepreneurship
- Enhancing the standard and effectiveness of software executives and professionals through structured accreditation and education programs.
