
Councils are bodies of members that form a ‘Community of Interest’ in a particular agenda (currently research, accreditation or master practitioners) in Software Economics, Software Innovation and/or Software Entrepreneurship Members are required to indicate at the time of application, which Council they wish to be associated with for their membership.
A Member can only be associated with one Council. Members may attend the meetings of other Councils as observers
The Officers of a Council shall include a Chairperson, Honorary Secretary and/or Honorary Treasurer.
The processes for meetings of Councils and elections of officers of Council shall be those set out in this Constitution with respect to general meetings and election of officers of the Institute with any necessary amendments. Should any issue or dispute arise as to how these terms apply or as to any election, the decision of the Board of Directors shall be final and binding.
Councils have no power to bind the Institute or act on its behalf unless specifically authorized to do so in writing by the Board of Directors. Subject to the above, Councils shall be governed by Regulations issued by the Board from time to time.
